By accessing or using Sintinel ("the Service"), operated by Bregway LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Sintinel is a market intelligence platform that aggregates publicly available sentiment data, financial indicators, and quantitative models to assist users in evaluating investment opportunities. The Service integrates with third-party APIs including Alpaca Markets (brokerage), Supabase (data storage), Finnhub (market data), and Anthropic (AI-powered analysis).
Nothing provided by Sintinel constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All sentiment scores, quantitative signals (including Kelly Criterion sizing, Expected Value Gap, KL-Divergence), model outputs, and trade recommendations are for informational and educational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Past performance of any signal or model does not guarantee future results. Trading in securities involves substantial risk of loss. You should consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and any third-party API keys (including Alpaca, Finnhub, and Anthropic keys) that you configure within the Service. You agree not to share your credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Sintinel stores your API keys as encrypted environment variables and does not have access to your brokerage account funds.
Sintinel supports both paper (simulated) and live trading through Alpaca Markets. By default, the Service connects to Alpaca's paper trading environment. If you configure live trading API keys, you acknowledge that real money is at risk and that Sintinel, Bregway LLC, and its affiliates bear no liability for trading losses. You are solely responsible for verifying the trading mode before executing any orders.
Your data — including watchlists, sentiment snapshots, raw signals, trade history, and model configurations — is stored in your Supabase database instance with row-level security. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data or trading activity. For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy. The AI scoring feature sends anonymized text snippets to Anthropic's API for analysis; no personally identifiable information is transmitted.
Sintinel relies on third-party services including Alpaca Markets, Supabase, Finnhub, Reddit, and Anthropic. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these services. Changes to third-party APIs, rate limits, or terms of service may affect Sintinel's functionality. We make reasonable efforts to maintain integrations but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for market manipulation, spoofing, wash trading, or any form of securities fraud; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service; (c) use automated systems to scrape or overload the Service beyond normal usage patterns; (d) resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without written authorization; (e) use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
All code, algorithms, models, scoring methodologies, UI designs, and documentation comprising Sintinel are the intellectual property of Bregway LLC. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes. You retain ownership of your data, trade history, and any custom configurations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bregway LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, trading losses, data loss, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bregway LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually as selected at signup. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Free tier accounts that remain inactive for 90 consecutive days may be subject to data cleanup.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that may harm other users or the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your data remains in your Supabase instance and is not deleted by us unless required by law.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
